Ethiopian Coffee Ceremonies Carry Centuries of Spiced Culture!

Ethiopian spiced coffee: a delicious plot twist

Where did it all begin?

It all began in Abyssinia (modern-day Ethiopia), the original home of the coffee (arabica) plant. Kaffa, a province in the south-western highlands where they first blossomed, gave its name to coffee. The formal cultivation and use of coffee as a beverage began early in the 9th century.

FEEL THE LOVE BREWING

Roasted beans are infused with a blend of spices, and served! After letting it sit for a few minutes, you can taste the floral and citrus notes. In Ethiopian tradition, a social gathering over rounds of coffee is called an "Ethiopian Ceremony". Three rounds of brew are served in tiny cups, and the third and final round is called "baraka" (to be blessed). Enjoy traditional incense and free wifi while you taste sweet culture in your cup!
